The relationship between General Giorgio Maniace and the soldier known as “Calafato”, two soldiers of the Byzantine domination in Sicily, has a significant historical value. So much so that it renders them exemplary. It is precisely for this reason that the two coffee tables were named in homage to the great and powerful Maniace and the tall and slight Calafato. A barely hidden game of clashes and conflicts of converging opposites as they possess the same nature. The result gives birth to two simple, but elegant and precious coffee tables thanks to the skilled use of decorative marble and gemstone grafting which sets them apart. It is all framed by a gold, metallic structure intentionally imitating Byzantine art.
